12 Apr Back to the public event in Tourcoing
After the first 2 public events in Barcelona and Lille, the 3rd one in Tourcoing has been a real success!
On Tuesday 28th March, 43 actors from associations, education or political representatives, motivated to promote the ecological transition of associations, met at the Grand Mix (Tourcoing, FR)!
The afternoon was punctuated by:
👉 Inspiring testimonies from the Tedda gallery of inspiring portraits
👉 3 workshops to discover the tools: the frieze of the energy transition, the carbon footprint game and a workshop to question one’s environmental practices in association.
Roundtable discussion: Good ecological practices with the associations in the gallery of inspiring portraits
Sarah Collet, president of ADF 02, and Mathias Petit-Bergem, employee of Le Grand Mix and Domitille Roucou, employee of Grdr Migration-Citoyenneté-Développement came to show the actions carried out to engage their associative structure in the ecological transition. The recording of the roundtable is available as a podcast on Radio Boomerang.
Are you a volunteer or an employee of a small or medium-sized organisation looking for environment-friendly practices?
Discover (soon!) the inspiring environmental good practices of 15 associations from 8 European countries in the online gallery of inspiring portraits on the TEDDA project website. This booklet illustrates different practices in the areas of purchasing, building, biodiversity, waste, energy flows, mobility and digital.
Workshop 1: The frieze of the energy transition, by Alice Duchêne, MRES
The frieze of the energy transition is a fun way to inform, raise awareness and obtain a shared level of knowledge about climate change and the ecological emergency. About ten participants were able to “touch with their fingers” the data that helps them understand the global challenges of climate change. They were then led to wonder about the inventions that are essential to keep for a sober future… thus creating debates among participants!
Workshop 2 : The carbon footprint game, by Bouchra Masmoudi, Mda de Tourcoing
The objective of the carbon footprint game is to associate each character with its carbon footprint, using clues and a description of his or her lifestyle (travel habits, hobbies, home). The portraits enabled the ten or so participants to reflect on individual behaviour and collective choices, and to imagine together a desirable future. In order to draw up realistic portraits, the TEDDA partners went to meet people involved in associations throughout their countries.
Workshop 3: Improving environmental practices: how to take action?, by Nathalie Bardaille, APES
About fifteen participants discussed the issues to be covered in order to improve their environmental practices in the running of their association. Methods of change were proposed with a particular focus on the need for training, support and vigilance in not making people feel guilty and in respecting the quality of working life in the distribution of tasks to improve practices within an association.
APES has also presented the TEDDA methodological guide to support the change of practices which is currently being created and will be available on the website in June 2023.
The majority of participants felt that the TEDDA project was inspiring for their organisation, that they had learned more about ecological transition and that they wanted to use and disseminate the TEDDA tools in the future.
Save the date!
We invite you to the meeting of employers involved in the ecological transition organised by the UDES in Lille on May30th, and then on June 15th afternoon for the release of the methodological guide to improve its practices, during the General Assembly of the APES.
Also note the date of 30 November, final conference of the TEDDA project in Brussels… more information coming soon!
