The House of Associations of Tourcoing (Maison des Associations de Tourcoing)
The “Maison des Associations de Tourcoing” (MdA) is a real pillar of the local associative life. It is a place of resources, exchanges and meetings for people involved in the associative and civic life.
Its project is organized around 3 main missions:
Open to Europe and the world, committed to the youth – especially those under 18 – and active in the ecological transition and the fight against discrimination, the MdA defends the clear values of social and solidarity economy, transmission, sharing of knowledge and empowerment of citizens.
Today, it works with 1500 associations in Tourcoing and the surrounding area, and more than 400 of them have chosen to become members.
The Regional House of Environment and Solidarities (MRES) is a regional associative network.
It brings together nearly 120 associations from the Hauts-de-France, that are involved in the fields of nature, environment, solidarities and Human rights. Behind this network, there are more than 5 000 volunteers and 500 employees working.
The MRES has the purpose of facilitating life and development of its associations’ activities, by hosting a third place that offers conference rooms and working spaces.
As the network head, the MRES connects its member associations and coordinates inter-associative projects (Zero Waste challenges, « knowledge cycles », conferences…).
Being a place of resources, the MRES also hosts a documentation center that is focused on themes such as : ecological transition, energy, associative life, ecological education…
Today’s energy and climate challenges make its humanist project even more essential : build a better world.
